At last I have discovered what it is that is eating my Crinum Lillies, a locust (they call them grasshoppers here), but he is a beauty. We have had no rain here for months now and the large pond that is usually 12 feet deep in the summer is completely dry. However it has given the Lotuses a chance to bloom, and how magnificent they are this year.
